Fall Migration
There is a reason the birds fly south before the winter—because they don’t to miss Texas in the fall. We highly recommend taking a trip or three to the Baytown Nature Center during the fall (and spring) bird migration. This birding hot spot features birding blinds dotting the park to watch land and water birds making their stops to feed and preen. Hummingbirds take over the gardens July-October, hawk watch begins in August, and visiting shorebirds make pit stops July through October.
Take a Stroll in the Park
Did we mention just how nice the temperatures are in October and November? It’s the perfect time to plan a family outing to the different parks and 17-miles of trails that Baytown has to offer. Looking for parks with a water view, kayaking launches, or fishing spots? Look no further than Roseland Park, the Eddie V. Gray Wetlands Center, or the Baytown Nature Center. Want wooded trails, play features, and a place to bring the family pet? Take a stroll through the winding trails of Jenkins and Hollaway Park. How about the perfect venue for a wedding or family reunion? Evergreen Park has a beautiful event space overlooking a golf course and fishing pond.
