Baytown is a Texas Film Commission designated Film Friendly city. As such, we are ready to connect your production with local businesses to meet all your needs.
Commercial Filming Requirements
Approvals
Any commercial producer or Applicant who desires to undertake any activity related to a film project in the City of Baytown must contact the Director of Public Affairs to discuss the production's specific filming requirements.
Application
Applicant is required to complete and return the City’s Commercial Filming Application, a signed Commercial Filming Waiver of Liability Form, and a Certificate of Insurance prior to the commencement of filming; and if applicable, any additional documents, permits or forms determined to be required by the City.
Permitting
In addition to an approved application under these Guidelines, certain aspects of a film project
may require Applicants to obtain a permit, approval, authorization, or other permission from other
City departments under the City’s Code of Ordinances or other rules and policies.
